This site has one job that involves your data: the waitlist. This page lists what we keep, why, and who touches it.

What we store when you join

  • Your email address.
  • The website you typed, and its origin (the part before the first path).
  • Whether you have confirmed your address.
  • A hash of your confirmation link and when it expires. We never keep the link itself.
  • Where your sign-up came from. See below.
  • The version of the consent text you saw.
  • When you signed up and when you confirmed.

We use this to confirm your address, to email you when your spot opens, and to see which pages bring people to the list. We don’t store your IP address or anything derived from it, and we never visit the website you type.

Where a sign-up came from

Every form carries the path of its own page. If your browser runs scripts, the form also sends the campaign parameters of the page you’re on (the ones starting with utm_) and the page you came from. For a page on another site, we keep only its host, not the full address.

Cookies, tracking and analytics

This site sets no cookies and uses no browser storage. It has no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. Our emails contain no tracking pixels and no link tracking.

Who handles your data

  • Cloudflare serves this site, and your sign-up passes through it. It also limits how often one connection can sign up, so we don’t have to keep IP addresses.
  • Scaleway, in Paris, stores the sign-ups and sends our email.

Confirming and removing

Opening the link in the email confirms nothing until you press the button on the page it leads to. The link works once and expires after 7 days.

Every email we send has a link that removes you. It deletes your entry, not just marks it. You can also write to hello@usekennen.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
